REVIEW TO 'RIVERDALE: THE POISON PEN' BY CALEB ROEHRIG

ADVERTISEMENT {REVIEW}

I received this book as a review copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. A big thank you goes here to Scholastic Australia.

The Poison Pen knows all your secrets . . . Archie, Betty, Jughead, Veronica and the rest of the gang are getting ready for life after high school―or, at least, they’re trying to. But then, one by one, they all receive a mysterious letter from someone calling themselves the Poison Pen. The letter writer knows some of Riverdale’s deepest, darkest secrets. The Poison Pen is threatening to reveal all unless Archie and his friends do exactly what they’re told―from posting embarrassing videos of themselves online to blowing up someone’s marriage. The letters aren’t stopping, and the stakes are getting higher with each one. If they can’t find the Poison Pen soon, Betty, Jughead, Veronica, Archie, Kevin, Cheryl and Toni might not have a future left to protect! Told from alternating points of view, this novel set in the Riverdale universe is an original story not seen on the show!

The cover of ʀɪᴠᴇʀᴅᴀʟᴇ: ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏɪsᴏɴ ᴘᴇɴ by Caleb Roehrig is definitely my favourite from all five Riverdale novels!

The author’s writing style is quite intriguing. I found the story to be mysterious, thrilling, and absolutely captivating. It has been a blast to be back for another adventure with the Riverdale kids. I had my suspicions about where the story goes, but even though I had a good guess and figured it out, I still enjoyed the book.

The characters have been as stunning as they’ve ever been. The whole bunch just grew so much since book 1, they’ve been through so much and are still standing tall against their enemies.

All up ʀɪᴠᴇʀᴅᴀʟᴇ: ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏɪsᴏɴ ᴘᴇɴ has been an easy read with a good mystery, an interesting story line, and well known, awesome characters. I can definitely recommend this book.
