REVIEW TO 'THE STONE OF FOUR FIRES: THE LAST REGRET' BY MARIE GIN

ADVERTISEMENT {REVIEW}

I received this book as a review copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. A big thank you goes here to the author.

In a small village in the middle of France, everyone comes together for a beautiful wedding. But for Elena, the night changes her life forever.

Woken by her mother's screams, the family home is engulfed by fire. But this was no accident. Under attack by creatures of the night, Elena and her best friend Lucas run into the darkness and into the clutches of the immortal Nepheines.

Taken in under their protection, Elena and Lucas discover that their world was at the border of something magical. Located in a castle beyond human reach, they quickly learn that truth had long been turned into myth and legends.

In the Nepheines' quest to find the Stone of Four Fires, Elena must decide whether to join them, or go home and salvage what she can.

The gorgeous and mysterious cover of ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴛᴏɴᴇ ᴏꜰ ꜰᴏᴜʀ ꜰɪʀᴇꜱ: ᴛʜᴇ ʟᴀꜱᴛ ʀᴇɢʀᴇᴛ by Marie Gin promised an amazing story. And what should I say? It did not disappoint!

Marie Gin's writing style is quite refreshing, thrilling, intriguing, and spellbinding. She has clearly put a lot of thought into the plot with all its surprising twists and turns. I also absolutely love what Marie has done with the setting. It is an interesting mix between magical and realistic, which I completely adored.

The story itself is a stunner. It is packed with magic and monsters, friends and enemies, as well as love and betrayal. Oh and of course I shouldn't forget the heartbreak! It might be subtle but it is definitely there.

The characters are great. Though they seem so innocent and sweet in the beginning, they are constantly growing on what's been thrown into their path throughout the story. While reading, I felt compelled by them and especially the protagonist has secured herself quite a spot in my heart.

I can highly recommend this beautiful story to anyone and can't wait to read more from this author in the future. I'm also looking forward to seeing this story on screen as an international box office movie as I'm quite curious how it'll turn out.
