The stunning cover of ᴛʜᴇ ʟɪᴠᴇꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱᴀɪɴᴛꜱ by Leigh Bardugo reminds me of old libraries and hidden treasures. I love it dearly and it most definitely got a special place on my shelves.
With this book, the author gave the companions (saints) from her Grishaverse some room to thrive. Room to tell their own little stories and be heard. This book is dark, magical, and fascinating all at the same time. My favourite story has been 'The Starless Saint', for sure.
All the stories are accompanied by absolutely beautiful artwork throughout the book. I love how much thought has been put into the design of this book.
Of course, it would be best to inhale this one after reading the original trilogy, but I was just so curious that I had to read this one first.
I can absolutely recommend this stunning collection of stories to all you Grishaverse-lovers out there. I'll definitely pick up the original books soon as this one left me curious!
