{UNPAID ADVERTISEMENT - REVIEW}
I received this review copy in exchange for my honest opinion on this book.
For Alexandria, being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome - especially when her 'other half' is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom - so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her memories of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies - creatures determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods... and that includes Alex. If that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters weren't bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.

Well, what can I say? I absolutely LOVE the white cover edition. It's simple but extremely beautiful with the smokey flower and I definitely have to get the other books in this series for my bookshelf!
Jennifer L. Armentrout's writing style captures me time and again. There is such passion and magic behind her words. I love how she writes in a quite detailed manner and at the same time leaves enough space for the reader's imagination.
In 'Pure' the story starts to go deeper into friendships and the first signs of love stories shine through. But don't get me wrong, this story is pure action. There are no dull or boring scenes whatsoever and the author surprised me with quite a few plot twists. Not everything is always it appears to be and literally nothing in this story is simply black and white.
I was looking forward to meet all the amazing characters again and as I expected, I already knew most of the characters.
I was very eager to mostly meet Alex, Aiden, Caleb and Seth again. They won my heart already in book one but especially Seth could win me over even more in 'Pure'. Meeting his kind and caring side was stunning. I know many readers have a thing for Aiden but I'm definitely team Seth - there's just so much more to him than you can see in the first moment!
The whole book is romantic and sad at the same time and I found it quite an emotional roller coaster.
'Pure' is an amazing continuation of the 'Covenant' series by Jennifer L. Armentrout and an absolute must-read in my opinion. I think it's a great series for older teens or maybe young adults, though not really for younger teens.
If you like romantic fantasy, you should get your fingers on this series and get carried away by the great characters, the author's amazing writing style, and the unexpected turns and twists in the story itself.
