Little Miss C received this gorgeous copy of ᴍᴜʟᴀɴ - ʙᴇꜰᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴡᴏʀᴅ by Grace Lin and already read it twice by now. The cover is beautifully designed and caught our eyes immediately.
The author's writing style is absolutely outstanding. Grace Lin created a story full of mythology, friendship, and familial bonds. This adventure is a constant thrill and an emotional roller coaster. The plot has been given a lot of thought and no dull or boring scenes could be found at all. The various points of view also freshened the book up a notch. And C really liked the author's note at the end of the book, which gave a little insight about her work with this story and the Asian mythology.
When it comes to the characters, Mulan is an absolute stunner. She is courageous, fierce, and stubborn but she is also kind and loving. She would do anything to keep her loved ones safe and would throw herself in harms way within a heartbeat to fight for what's right.
With ᴍᴜʟᴀɴ - ʙᴇꜰᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴡᴏʀᴅ, the author Grace Lin really has created an epic piece of art. Little Miss C is addicted to this story and highly recommends it to everyone who loves Mulan.
