REVIEW TO 'FAIREST OF ALL - A TALE OF THE WICKED QUEEN' BY SERENA VALENTINO

ADVERTISEMENT {REVIEW}

I received this book as a review copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. A big thank you goes here to Scholastic Australia.

The Wicked Queen is one evil woman! Now, for the first time, we'll examine the life of the Wicked Queen and find out just what it is that makes her so nasty. Here's a hint: the creepy-looking man in the magic mirror is not just some random spooky visage-and he just might have something to do with the Queen's wicked ways!

The cover of ꜰᴀɪʀᴇꜱᴛ ᴏꜰ ᴀʟʟ - ᴀ ᴛᴀʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡɪᴄᴋᴇᴅ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ is absolutely gorgeous in its simplicity and stays in the design line of this series.

The author Serena Valentino's writing style is easy to read and perfectly suitable for younger readers. It has been quite interesting to see what happened to make the evil queen go bad in the first place. However, I found the story to be a bit dull in some places even though it's been captivating in others.

The characters are great, especially the evil queen herself and Snow White. Though I really start to despise the odd sisters and their way of messing with other people's lives.

All up ꜰᴀɪʀᴇꜱᴛ ᴏꜰ ᴀʟʟ - ᴀ ᴛᴀʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡɪᴄᴋᴇᴅ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ has been a good read, though not completely convincing. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the best book for me.
