Little Miss C finished ꜱᴏ ᴛʜɪꜱ ɪꜱ ʟᴏᴠᴇ by Elizabeth Lim only a couple of days ago. She's in love with this cover, which is perfect for the story.
C had a great time reading this one. She has thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing style, which has been action packed, captivating, and an emotional roller coaster. The plot has been well thought through, though the story has been a bit slow around the middle of the book. C also really liked the whole world building and enjoyed meeting other places in Cinderella's world.
And then there are the characters. C has been quite impressed by the way Cinderella turned out. She has many of the well known character traits from the original story, yet she comes across as way more relatable. She's still kind, loving, and full of hope. But she's also so much more. Quite a few of the other characters we know from the original story got a big do-over though. Some simply got a name or a backstory, others got fully twisted from good hearted to kind of villains.
ꜱᴏ ᴛʜɪꜱ ɪꜱ ʟᴏᴠᴇ from the ᴅɪꜱɴᴇʏ - ᴀ ᴛᴡɪꜱᴛᴇᴅ ᴛᴀʟᴇ collection has been a total reading highlight for Little Miss C. It is definitely one of her favourites from this series and she highly recommends this book.
