I grew up with Scooby-Doo and still love the series and since my little book raccoons love him and his gang, too, it has been clear that we had to read ᴅᴀᴘʜɴᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ᴠᴇʟᴍᴀ: ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀɴɪꜱʜɪɴɢ ɢɪʀʟ by Josephine Ruby.

The cover is a stunner. Daphne and Velma have always been my favourites and I think this cover really suits their adventure well.

Josephine Ruby's writing style has been absolutely thrilling. The plot has been thought through well. Though the mystery itself might have been a bit easy to solve but we loved how she's been concentrating on the friendship between the main characters. This book is filled with adventure, mystery, and sometimes funny scenes that made us giggle. We also liked how the book has been written in the perspective of both Daphne and Velma.

The main characters Daphne and Velma really did a number on us. As their character traits couldn't be any more different from each other, there are two worlds colliding. Though it has been great to see these two girls work together. There are quite a few other characters who make an appearance and we love them all.

All up we quite enjoyed ᴅᴀᴘʜɴᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ᴠᴇʟᴍᴀ: ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀɴɪꜱʜɪɴɢ ɢɪʀʟ. It has been an easy, fun read and is also suitable for younger readers. We can definitely recommend this story to all you Scooby lovers out there.
