Review:
The first impression of a book is of course the cover. In this case, I saw the cover and fell straight in love with it. I love all kinds of gray. I also absolutely love this beautiful cover because of it's simplicity.
The author's writing style is definitely to be described as amazing. Montana Ash writes absolutely thrilling, detailed and fluid. I could imagine every scene perfectly. It felt like I was literally living in the story whilst reading. 'Chade' is packed with action but not too fast-paced for the reader to struggle to understand what's happening. I also definitely love the way the author writes the erotic scenes.
The characters in this series are grandiose. They all found a place in my heart and I'm for sure very happy, that I saw these books, loved the covers and most definitely fell in love with the characters.
The protagonist in 'Chade' is Cali. She's one of Max's paladins - her knights, which you have already met in the first two books. Cali is stunning beautiful, kind, loving, loyal and undeniably a respectable soldier with deadly skills. I adored her from the very first scene. She has as well something about her, that you sometimes feel the urge to simply hug her and tell her how amazing and perfect she is.
You will also meet Dex. In the past he has been a very powerful and well respected warden. Max and Dex are sharing kind of a past as their paths have crossed many times during the time, when Max hasn't been aware of whom or what she really is. He has been taking vitality from her but he also saved her life more than once. If you want to find out who Dex truly is, you should read this amazing story and join the great knights on their new adventure.
Of course, you will also meet Max and the rest of her knights again. And believe me, you don't want to miss them. They're one crazy, loyal and funny bunch of hotness! But they're more than that. They're family and they would protect what and whom they love no matter what.
In my opinion the 'Elemental Paladins' series is a must-read for everyone, who loves an amazing mix between paranormal fantasy, romance and erotica with an action-loaded story. The direction in which the series is headed leaves me clearly curious and I'm most definitely looking forward to read book #4 to join all the stunning characters on their next journey.
