REVIEW TO 'THE WRATH & THE DAWN' RENÉE AHDIEH

Overview:

Shazi's wit and will get her through to the dawn that no others have seen, but with a catch . . . she may be falling in love with a murderer.

Shazi discovers that the villainous boy-king is not all that he seems and neither are the deaths of so many girls. It's up to her to uncover the reason for the murders and to break the cycle once and for all.

"So you would have me throw Shazi to the wolves?"

Review:

In my opinion the cover is stunning beautiful. It mirrors the protagonist perfectly and the warm colours are seeming to be magical. I love it!

The author's writing style is simply amazing. Renée Ahdieh has created a masterpiece with this absolutely thrilling and action-loaded book. There are no dull or boring scenes whatsoever and I could barely lay the book down at all. I could imagine every scene, every person and every single detail perfectly.

Renée Ahdieh has also created some great characters, which are all one of a kind.

At first there is Sharzad - called Shazi by her friends. She is the breathtaking protagonist of this book. Shazi is unbelievably courageous, beautiful, caring and curious. I guess you can imagine that it didn't take long for her to find a permanent place in my heart.

Then there is Tariq. He is one of Sharzad's dearest friends. He knew her for almost all his life and they have a very deep connection. Tariq is loving and seems to be fearless when it comes to the task of saving his friends. He would never give up on the people he cares for.

And then there is Khalid. The cruel and much hated boy-king. The King of Kings. He is hated and feared by his people and it seems like there is no reason for his cruel actions. But nothing is like it seems in the first place. He has many secrets and dangerous ones. Khalid, too, has an everlasting place in my heart.

'The Wrath & The Dawn' is a remarkable story, which will stay with me forever. This book shows the reader that not everything is always as it seems. That you need to see behind the walls every person creates around themselves.

A big Thank You goes to the lovely team of Hachette Australia for the review copy in exchange of my honest opinion.
