Talon:
Long ago, dragons were hunted to near extinction by the Order of St. George, a legendary society of dragon slayers. Hiding in human form and growing their numbers in secret, the dragons of Talon have become strong and cunning, and they're positioned to take over the world with humans none the wiser.
Ember and Dante Hill are the only sister and brother known to dragonkind. Trained to infiltrate society, Ember wants to live the teen experience and enjoy a summer of freedom before taking her destined place in Talon. But destiny is a matter of perspective, and a rogue dragon will soon challenge everything Ember has been taught. As Ember struggles to accept her future, she and her brother are hunted by the Order of St. George.
Soldier Garret Xavier Sebastian has a mission to seek and destroy all dragons, and Talon's newest recruits in particular. But he cannot kill unless he is certain he has found his prey - and nothing is certain about Ember Hill. Faced with Ember's bravery, confidence, and all-too-human desires, Garret begins to question everything that the order has ingrained in him - and what he might be willing to give up to find the truth about dragons.

The covers are beautifully designed and resemble the story perfectly. It's like you're looking at the skin of a majestic dragon.
The narrators have very pleasant voices. I got easily carried away by their voice and it felt like I'm standing right there between all the great characters. They are a perfect fit for these books as they tell this story in an absolutely thrilling manner and before I knew the audiobooks were over.
There were plot twists which left me speechless and shocked. The author Julie Kagawa definitely knows how to lead the reader in one direction while the story is headed in a completely different way. It's seldom that a story can surprise me as often as this one did.
The characters are brilliant! They have such a broad range of character traits that I can't even describe them all.
Some are good, kind, open-minded, curious, courageous, caring and want to change the way how things in their world are. They want to be free.
Others are evil from their very soul. Their hearts are as dark as a black hole and I wouldn't want to cross their way, not even in broad daylight.
I absolutely love dragons, so I simply had to dive into these books. And what could I say? The author didn't appoint me in the slightest. No, she exceeded my expectations for sure!
I can't wait to get back into this amazing, fantastic and magic world of majestic creatures and am so looking forward to book #3 in the 'Talon' series. I can highly recommend these books.
